Chatham's bid for World Heritage Status

Message from Cllr Rodney Chambers, Leader of Medway Council.

Medway Council places great importance on achieving World Heritage Site status for Chatham, and we are committed to an application on the earliest possible occasion. Thanks must go to the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust and English Heritage who are generously supporting development work. I look forward to World Heritage Site status enabling more such strong partnerships into the future. I am pleased that World Heritage is part of my responsibility for Regeneration.
