Anmarie Clark, age 11

Anmarie, aged 11, visited the World Heritage display at Fort Amherst on 8th July, and was inspired by the image of HMS Victory to write the following:

The Victory

123...and fire
Boom, all cannons blast
Wow, this fight is terrifying,
How long will it last?
People scream from fear
Some wounded, some are dead
Some fall overboard, and drown
Some have been shot in the head
Some ships are sinking now
The only boat standing,
Is the great Victory
