Sites outside the proposed boundary also tell the extraordinary tale of Chatham's legacy.

The Guildhall Museum in Rochester High Street is one example. It houses a small display on the fortifications era in Medway, as well as a model depicting the story of the Dutch raid. Further down the High Street, is Eastgate House, built by one of the most famous and long serving Clarks of the Cheque (from the early Dockyard era) and built using timbers from the Tudor Dockyard.

The Guildhall Museum.
